The biggest palace of Peter's epoch and the first stone house, Menshikov's Palace was built for the city's governor and Peter's friend Alexander Menshikov.

On the contrast to Peter the Great, Menshikov liked luxury and comfort, money and court receptions. It's here that Peter himself received important guests arriving to the city, as this palace was much bigger and brighter than modest house of the czar.

In the palace visitors will see interiors and furniture of Peter's epoch, as well as stoves decorated with famous Dutch tiles. And, most important, one will have here an opportunity to feel the atmosphere of that time.
